I believe that motivation is a reason why people choose to succeed at certain tasks. Like for myself I believe basketball motivates me in everything I do. Basketball mostly motivates me in school. The reason I believe this is true is because, when school first started I was going through the motion and doing bare minimum. As soon as basketball season started my whole perception changed. I started studying for tests, taking detailed notes, paying attention, and asking questions. But sometimes you aren't motivated by positive elements. Some people become motivated by negative feedback. For example my favorite basketball player, Wardell Stephen Curry, was told by basketball scouts that he was too small to make it to the next level. When the scout s said this about him he decided to show them he will be able to make it to the next level no matter his size. While he was a sophomore in college Curry lead his team the Davidson Wildcats to the Elite Eight division of the NCAA Tournament. Even though they did not win the championship Stephen Curry proved his point and went on to become the best point guard in the NBA today. So what I'm getting at is that as long as you are motivated to a positive and reachable goal it doesn't matter what type of motivation you receive or how you receive it shouldn't affect the outcome. You should use your motivation to guide you in the right direction.
